Letter: Happy World Refugee Day -- duh!

MWC: Letter: I find it completely abhorrent that Chinese people are bribing their ways into Canada and getting away with it. It's no wonder that this country is infested with Communist spies--just go ask Chen Yonglin. What's even more astonishing is that immigration consultants advise them to pose as Falun Gong practitioners fleeing torture from the Communist regime. Hmm! Thanks to this kind of bureaucratic abuse, it has become very risky for real Falun Gong adherents to seek asylum in Canada.

One can only remember Montreal's Xiaoping Hu, a respected Falun Gong practitioner, who was deported to China in August 2005 to never be heard from again. That's not very reassuring considering that reports of state-sanctioned organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners are rampant across China.(Ref. Bloody Harvest http://organharvestinvestigation.net )

Would it be too much to ask of Immigration Canada to play by the rules and be mindful not only of torture laws but of the law period--especially when human lives are at stake?

Happy World Refugee Day you all -- duh!
